Reflection on simulation and video lesson
Simulation is another creative way of presentation where we can make our learner’s attentive. If we are teaching in math (concept counting), we can use simulation to show them practically with the help of PowerPoint. I found that it will be beneficial for students with learning styles (audio, visual). If the children are visual learner, with the help of the pictures and images will give them a clear concept. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1gzE0LRmv_Rd_wq81p9c2ndwlwfeTx1gIKoCTT_GiGD8/edit#slide=id.p1
For the audio, we can always insert our voice to teach that
concept. I being a lower learner, found many challenges
where I don’t know what animation to insert and how to make them
automatically and about the delay and the duration. I got totally lost
sometimes in the middle. Sometimes, my animation didn’t work, I started with
the first slide which consumed my time but as side by side, there was a lot of
learning. I was unaware of such facilities in PowerPoint. At last, I created a simple story, just a
tried one. When we are doing hands-on-experiences, we learn more. Our knowledge
gets expanded. In this way, I learned many ideas on how to create an attractive simulation to gain the attention of the students. I have no doubt that students will enjoy learning fruitfully. where I can impart this knowledge to my students in the future. https://drive.google.com/drive/my-drive

Camtasia Studio is a software suite, created and published by TechSmith, for creating video tutorials and presentation directly via screencast, or via a direct recording plug-in to Microsoft PowerPoint. Working with Camtasia has been an interesting project and is my passion. Before
I used to wonder how people could make interesting videos and MTVs. But now I
am glad and proud because I can make one too.
I have made almost two to three videos excluding video lessons so far. Working with Camtasia has been really fun and engaging. In the near future, I would like to produce some more tutorial videos for my students so that learning can happen in an interesting way.

Thank you.

wow Gayleg!! I found this reflection very inspiring and insightful. I can relate how difficult it was to create simulation at first because I went through similar stages of obstacles like you. Its a really great reflection Gayleg and I am happy to know that you had been making videos. I would love to see them in future.
ReplyDeleteFrom your reflection, I can clearly reflect how I had also struggle to create simulation at the first instance but, slowly with help from tutor and friends I could able to create simple simulation I must say. Your reflection is insightful with learning experiences and obstacles that you had undergone while creating simulation. I found your reflection on camtesia video is very interesting and insightful. Keep Writing Gayleg!
ReplyDeletei agree with what you have reflected , it was of great learning experiences to make simulation and a camtasia video. it was whole new experiences for us and after learning we are all proud of one selves that we can even create our video.
ReplyDeleteyou have well reflected your learning and evidence are good to support as well.
